NYSC CDS Group to Hold Financial Literacy Seminar at KadPoly The Financial Inclusion Community Development Service (CDS) group of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is set to host a financial literacy seminar at the Department of Mass Communication, Kaduna Polytechnic, Tudun Wada Campus. The event is scheduled for April 17, 2025, and will focus on helping students build basic financial knowledge. Topics will include savings, budgeting, and responsible money management. According to the organizers, the seminar will benefit over 200 participants, including students and lecturers. A formal letter has been submitted requesting a conducive venue and a sound system to ensure effective delivery. A call has been made to students in the Mass Communication department to be diligent in understanding the importance of what they are studying.The call came from a journalist working with Spider FM Kadpoly, Zainab Muhammad Sani, during interview with correspondent.Zainab described journalism as something that requires creativity and dedication to achieve good training.She also emphasized that it is essential for every mass communication student to understand that as a journalist, it is mandatory to respect and recognize the importance of people.The journalist also expressed her satisfaction with how the lecturers in the Mass Communication department are increasingly committed to ensuring that students receive quality training.Finally, she draw attention of especially to students who are studying to obtain a certificate, to understand that journalism deals with skills, not certificates. Therefore, she advises them to keep in mind that education must their first priority.

students has been Encouraged to be disciplined and exhibit good behavior on there academic activities.The call made by Dean of Student Affairs at Kaduna Polytechnic, Mallam Umar Faruq Nda Madu, as he delivering a speech during the matriculation of new students.Malam Faruq said it is mandatory for every student in the college to follow the rules set by the school to avoid engaging in activities that would hinder academic progress, which he stated is the main purpose of their attendance.Deen also emphasized to the new students that they should understand that it is education that brought them to school, not anything else.He said the management is aware of some students that are engaging in cultism and some individuals who are using their positions or something similar to deceive students and collect money from them in the process of securing admissions, which he said they are working to address.Finally, he praised the rector and his associates for their hard work, to ensure everything is going as it should. He also wished success and quality education for the new students.
